Our class — our whole company, even — was pretty unhappy with the final evaluation results.
But whether or not there was foul play behind that ranking, we’d already given it our all.
The seven days of training are behind us now — ahead lie the three years of high school.
I used to think seven days could never forge any real bond.
But when the instructors stepped onto the school bus, about to drive out through that gate,
I had to fight hard to hold back the tears.
Every time it comes to a farewell, I can’t seem to hold back the flood of emotion—
The instructors were genuinely so good to us.
Thank them for teaching us the first lesson of high school.
I hope that one day, we’ll meet again…
Besides — as active-duty soldiers of the People’s Liberation Army, they were already respectable to begin with.
